PorScience supports researchers, universities, startups, and industry partners in transforming scientific discoveries into patents, utility models, and innovation-driven collaborations. We facilitate cooperation among inventors, academic experts, industrial partners, and relevant professional services throughout the innovation process.
Patent & Utility Model Support
We assist collaborators with:
• Patent and utility model concept development
• Technical drafting and scientific review of invention descriptions
• Evaluation and improvement of novelty, technical significance, and potential applications
• Preparation and review of figures, experimental evidence, claims-supporting technical information, and documentation
• Coordination of patent and utility model submission in Portugal
• Support for communication with appropriate IP professionals and institutional technology-transfer offices
• Guidance toward European and international protection pathways, where appropriate
Innovation & Technology Partnerships
PorScience also promotes partnerships between academia, research institutes, startups, companies, and investors to accelerate the translation of research into practical technologies. Particular emphasis is placed on porous materials, advanced functional materials, sensors, energy technologies, environmental applications, nanotechnology, and related emerging fields.
